You're right BUT it's just a flag to be used as switch from an external 
service (in my case: mimedefang).

If not enabled nothing change, if enabled AND mimedefang it's enabled in 
postfix THEN the tnef conversion

will be performed just before the conent filtering (pmg-smtp-filter).

If interested I will give the detail to implement as addon (just like 
avast).

BTW: would be interesting to add to your site a wiki for pmg just like 
the pve one ?

In this way we could collect howto ad other info pertaining
