Hello,
as this patch is not yet applied, there is no need to `update` to get to the latest version.

If your intention is however to test this patch, you can do so by applying it yourself using `git-am` (see `man git-am` for details) to the corresponding repository, which for this patch is [0]. With the patch applied, you can build and install the Debian packages which in turn are then build dependencies for the Proxmox Backup Server.
