Hello,

I have a container with a good cpu and memory usage, it's running
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with a typical configuration based on
apache+fcgi/php and postfix/amavis+cyrus, the platform is proxmox
2.2 upgraded to last stable packages.

Given resources are 8GB memory with 8 cpu cores and 500k cpu units.

The problem resides in cpu needings, while the free cached memory
remains at 3GB the cpu starts reaching 90%+ levels when some heavy
websites are loaded or when amavis needs to use it's 5 threads.

So my question is, while the host cpu can give more power, why can't
I give more cpu units to this container? is there any other way to
let it use more host cpu?

Thank you in advance!.

Regards,
