Subject: [PVE-User] Clusterd LVM created by RHEL

Hi all,

I'm trying to bring up a 3-node cluster with shared
fc-storage. Before I installed
PVE I fooled around with RHEL 6 and clvm. Now I'm not
able to activate my vg's
created and used with RHEL/clvm.
Any hints?

You need to enable cluster locking in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf

locking_type = 3

(I guess it is best to reboot after that change)

Yes I changed the locking type to 3. In RHEL I need a running
clvmd to work on clustered vg's. Clvmd doesn't start on pve.
When I tried out older versions of pve (<2) clusterd vg's
where not handled by clvmd. Is clvmd now in charge of handling
clustered vg's in pve?

There are running 2 instances of dlm_controld running on all of my
nodes but I don't know what they in charge of. On other setups you
need to fence clvmd. In my RHEL-Cluster setup I started pacemaker
with a fake fencing daemon.
