Well since /etc/network/interfaces is generated dynamically...it
does not appear that you can simply add it there...which is why I
asked.<br>
<br>
However I see that the interfaces file reference
/etc/network/interfaces.head and /etc/network/interfaces.tail...so
it really looks like that is where this needs to <br>
be added (/etc/network/interfaces.tail).<br>

So...I think you were right...more reading was required on my part

What is the best place to add a static route so that when a
VM boots and reboots the route is added automatically?<br>

Here is the command that I use inside the running VM:<br>

route add -net 10.11.11.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 venet0:1<br>

However this route is clearly lost after I start/stop the
VM.<br>
