I have found Proxmox to be safer than other OpenVZ implementations and its KVM I would stack up to just about anything out there. If you are using VMWare 3.5 however 4 would give you better stability over 3.5 - but ProxMox imho is awesome and very stable. <div><br></div><div>2. Depends on how you set things up in regards to backups - are you using LVM, are you using an application, etc. Check out their DRDB as well </div><div><br></div><div>3. OpenVZ simply put - ROCKS - you can place so many more servers on a system than other kinds of systems - but that is the magic to paravirtualization. Parent issues would show / could show to all vps - but that is true on any hypervisor.</div><div><br></div><div>4. Upgrades - depends on what the upgrade is. You could use KSplice to implement some updates w/o reboots (like new kernel for example). </div><div><br></div><div>5.
